ARe Gives Readers the Gift of eBooks to Celebrate the Holidays

It’s the season of giving and All Romance eBooks™ (ARe) and some very special publishers are giving away eBooks.

Palm Harbor, FL (PRWEB) December 15, 2009 – During the busiest of shopping seasons, ARe and their partner publishers are making things easy and free. Shoppers can get select eBook titles from Harlequin, Liquid Silver Books, Tease Publishing, Pink Petal Books, Excessica Publishing, Eternal Press, The GA Hauser Collectio! n, and eXstasy Books free of charge for a limited time thanks to ARe’s 12 Days of Christmas campaign.

One free title will be announced each day for the twelve days preceding the Christmas Holiday in a special mailing to all subscribers of ARe’s Wildfire eZine. In addition to the rotating eBooks offered for free, Harlequin is giving Wrapped and Ready, a holid ay short story by Julie Kenner, away to readers all month long. The link can be found on any book detail page on the site. Readers put the free selection in their shopping cart, check out and the title will appear in their library instantly.

“Retailers like to run shoppers ragged to get a bargain this time of year, making them buy between certain hours, clip coupons, enter special codes. The holidays are hectic enough. ARe is about making things as easy as possible for the customer,” says Media and Public Relations Manager, Cat Johnson. “With all the things we do for others at this time of year, it’s really nice to get a little something for ourselves. And with our new gift giving feature, readers on a budget can take this opportunity to pass on the gift of an! eBook to a friend—free.”

KISSED Reviewed: Dark Divas

Dark Diva Reviews has given a FOUR Delightful Divas rating to I KISSED A GIRL! In addition to an overall assessment, reviewer Melissa offers reviews of some of the individual tales. For my story “Freckles” she says:

My Review of Freckles: Ms. Kempe has written a quick, very hot story in Freckles. Lea seems to be a practical woman, while Keegan is just a slob. I really liked Bridey, with her fun, outgoing personality. The passion between Lea and Bridey is explosive, and, well, Keegan is still a slob.

She’s right!

Melissa gives kudos to other stories like Inara La Vey’s “Champagne” and Regina Perry’s “Defining Lines” as well as saying of the entire collection that, “each story is very erotic and well-written. I would recommend this book to be kept handy, say on your nightstand, for those nights that you need a quick story to get your motor running.”

Yay!null

Kissing and Telling

First let me tell you about the new release this Thursday from Ravenous Romance: yes, it’s the anthology I Kissed a Girl which features a whole bunch of great writers, including me! Editor Regina Perry has chosen a wide range of tales to interest you:

Freckles by C. Margery Kempe
Two’s Company by Louisa Bacio
Champagne by Inara LaVey
Get Thee to the Nunnery by Samantha Jones
Lady’s Maid by K. Ann Karlsson
The Tiger’s Tale by Kilt Kilpatrick
Passions, Like Storms by Nola Erus
When I Taste Like a Waste I Breathe by Farrah J. Phoenix
My New Roommate by Jen Bluekissed
The End of the World by L.A. Mistral
Show Me Yours by Lucy Felthouse
Defining Lines by Regina Perry

Enjoy! I should also tell you about Pi-Con, which was fun but a bit of a comedy of errors on my part. I arranged to have lunch with an old friend I haven’t see in years, but then to my horror discovered that my 2pm panel had been moved to 1pm, so I missed it completely. Argh! But the rest of the day was fun even though I didn’t get to catch up with the other RR authors in attendance. Next time! Or come to Albacon!

Reading Chastity

The Hot Summer reading at East Line Books went gloriously well. There was great food and wonderful desserts, trivia and much fun. The women who came were all delightful, as was our hostess Robyn and her daughter Lily. There was a nice variety of readers, both personal essays and some hot romance. One woman read both an essay about on-line dating and an excerpt from her first romance novel which has sparked interest from Harlequin. Another read an hilarious essay about buying condoms for her son’s study abroad trip. I got to meet local writer Jackie Kessler, who read from one of her steamy Hell on Earth titles, Hell’s Belles.

My pal Jenise snapped this photo of me holding up the cover art for Chastity Flame. The problem with e-books is that you don’t have anything tangible to sell, so I thought I should have some kind of visual aid, so I stopped by the office supply store and had them print the cover on some nice card stock and then laminate it. Voilà! The gals in the copy center gave enthusiastic thumbs up on the cover art, too.

I read the beginning of “Love on a Spoon” explaining that I had been inspired to choose that story because my free Nutella mugs had just arrived. I stopped just when things were getting naughty because Robyn had thought it best to keep things PG. The audience wanted more, so I read a little from the beginning of Chas, apologizing because I forgot about the little (non-PG!) encounter she recalls at the start, but no one seemed to be the least bit bothered (just the opposite, in fact). It was great fun and I got lots of compliments.

I’m off to Pi-Con tomorrow with my alter ego. See you there, folks.

Introduction
Katy Perry’s hit song I Kissed a Girl brought bisexuality to the forefront. I admit I was amazed when I heard my neighbor’s five-year-old daughter singing the entire song, never missing a word or beat. Alternative lifestyles are open for discussion—no longer taboo.

Since Dr. Alfred Kinsey released his first reports on human sexual behavior in 1948, society has been in the process of accepting that almost all healthy men and women have some homosexual tendencies. Instead of hiding these inclinations in shame, it’s time to celebrate our desires and be comfortable in our own skin. No labels, no judgment—only enlightenment and tolerance.

I’m not suggesting that all humans are bisexual. As I have discovered, being aroused by an erotic story doesn’t label anyone. I can get excited reading BDSM, but don’t try spanking me in bed. Because I am passionate about same-sex erotica does not make me bisexual, but it has enhanced my ability to love and accept.

This anthology is a collection of lesbian first-time encounters. I am delighted with the diversity of this collection. I hope you enjoy and share my passion for exploring new boundaries.

I Kissed a Girl: A Virgin Lesbian Anthology

You’ve heard Katy Perry’s hit song, now read enticing stories of heterosexual women exploring new boundaries. College dormitories become breeding grounds of inquisitive minds and libidos with roommates discovering desire for each other as they relate past experiences, undress in each other’s presence, seek refuge from a storm, discover a dildo or share men. Continuing life’s path, ingenious women find ways to enhance marriage or the workplace. Champagne cellars, riding stables, tanning salons, even historical English bedchambers become hotbeds of lesbian experiments. Converting or not, all embrace the journey of sexual exploration.

Warning: Stories contained within this anthology may elicit arousal, regardless of sexual persuasion.
